Prologue
It had been a whirlwind month for one of the youngest Strader’s in the business and was only getting more intense. It started with her acceptance into OCW, and her debut win against Sugar Valentine. It was that match that the crowd noticed Atara Themis, the Goddess, in the crowd watching the young Strader, and from there, the two women didn’t hesitate and jumped into the water together, hands held tightly, feet first.
When Victoria and Maxine had split, Victoria did it right in the way of she took time to herself, didn’t follow the old adage of ‘to get over someone, get on top of someone new’ and healed the best one could from the betrayal of not just Maxine, but her grandfather as well.
Atara was everything Maxine wasn’t. She was the Goddess of wrestling, doing what she does for all her Doves. Atara lived in her own world, marched to the beat of her own Greek symphony, cared for the environment, peoples living conditions, and living life to its fullest. She could be all-encompassing, give you the type of attention people dream of but she could be very domineering and slightly narcissistic.
Victoria was different from all the men (besides the obvious difference) that Atara had been with. There is no need to say any names as Victoria has been told to keep names out of her mouth even though she hadn’t thought of them. However, she wasn’t an arrogant or egotistical person at heart. She is good natured and far trusting. She’s still young and finding her way.
It had been a trip of biting her tongue, watching her sister attack her girlfriend on social media but Victoria understood as she buried all the times she wanted to smack the phone out of Atara’s hands. Eventually Victoria was going to explode and it would happen on the night she would find out the truth to where she truly
came from.

“She hasn’t mentioned him… could this finally be the night?
Victoria looked stunning in her classic simple hip-hugging blue jeans, a black and white ladies Matthew Knox t-shirt, and she was back in her signature ponytail. Atara, as always, walked like her path was a runway in front of her. She slipped into a sexy scarlet red dress for the event and Victoria’s eyes would not leave her curves. Knox was back repairing himself after his cage match with Spade, and these two decided to hide off-camera somewhere, but Victoria had gone from walking on clouds back down to earth with a sudden violent shot of reality.
“Let’s find his rental and egg it… but on the inside,” the Goddess says with a wicked grin. Victoria stops dead in her tracks, and after a second, Atara stops and turns around to see where she went. “What is it, Vee?”
“You fucking kidding me?!”
“What? Really? How many times in the past few weeks have you made me feel like a piece of garbage for giving me your time? What about my time?! Does my time mean nothing? Does it, Atara?”
The Goddess’s brow furrows. She goes to get a word in, but she can’t.
“How much bloody time have you found ways to shit on the guy? I get it; he hurt you. They all have. Let it go. It’s not healthy. Ya know I keep getting told you are not Max by mom, well, I’m not them assholes EITHER!”
Atara begins to reach out to touch Victoria, but she moves her shoulder away, tears in her eyes.
“Have any of them treated you like I have? All that they do is keep at an arm's length ‘just in case’ because they believe you’ll go running back. Will you? Will you just toss me out in the trash if one of them jerk-offs comes calling because, god damn it, I am worth more than that! I don’t care if any of our peers don’t care if they hurt me. I didn’t enter this business to make friends. I mean hell, I didn’t expect to meet someone that makes my heart wanna leap out of my chest as you do.”
The young Strader lifts her hand, wiping away the tears in her eyes. Even though Atara wouldn’t let anyone else go on this rant, it has hopefully stirred a few thoughts in Atty.
“But you know I get it. That ummph,” she says, squeezing her hands into a fist as if feeling it to emphasize her point, “but fuck them, Atty. Fuck them all! Yeah, it sucks Tara didn’t talk to you first, yeah it sucks it feels like she took him from you but who the fuck cares? You have me. Victoria Ann-Marie Strader. Fourth-generation asshole who isn’t after you for money or any type of fame. Your spontaneity, your passion, your complete disregard of whatever life throws at you. I could see myself falling madly head over heels in love with you, Atty,” she says sadly as she steps forward closer to her lover.
“You can’t keep begging. She does, or she doesn’t.”
“But I am not going to let myself do that if this is how it's going to be. Will you give a chance, well, a chance? To be happy? We could rule this damn place like it’s ours with a fist of marble and granite-like those in those Greek ruins you took me to see. It could be…”
Victoria can’t help herself and finishes her plea with the beginning of a kiss when things get a little hazy for our Strader spawn.
THWACK!
The last thing Victoria remembered before waking up many hours later would be the look of pure panic on Atara’s face. This woman nearly retired Victoria’s father; she isn’t afraid often. Victoria crumples to the ground as two large Japanese in simple black suits, long hair tied back appear from the shadows like The Shape would in Halloween, holding matching gold plated Desert Eagles. They are outstretched towards Atara, who is on her knees trying to get closer to Vee, whose hand she is holding still; as she went down with her, but the one man stops her, pointing the barrel dead centre of her forehead.
“That’s far enough. I don’t want to kill anyone tonight. Do you understand me?” he growls at the worried Atara. She looks up, venom in her grey-blue eyes and only nods, her eyes twitching while watching the large man. The other has picked up Victoria, essentially ripping Atara’s hand from her unconscious girlfriend, and placed her in the back of a black Rolls Royce. The two men are gone with Victoria as Atara reaches for her phone. She starts running towards security as she texts Denzel Porter #BreakingNews Victoria Strader abducted Black Rolls Royce seen leaving the arena.
Godspeed Atara, Godspeed.
Chapter One

“Where the hell am I?”
Victoria Strader is waking up what she thinks is for the first time since she got pistol-whipped unconscious; she really can’t be too sure cause of the piercing headache she has been left.
“Atty… she looked so terrified… fuck. Where the hell am I? Did Ryan find me? Is it my dad?"
A light tap comes on the door of the overly decorated room. Her hands were tied above her head and feet bound together to the four-post Victorian bed, which she even managed to find weirdly fitting. The old door opens, and in walks a man she has never seen before, but those eyes, those features…
“He looks like he could be Knoxxy’s possible cousin, brother maybe? Let’s find out.”
She had no idea where the inner strength was coming from, not to be an absolute wreck, but she would learn how strong-willed she was.
“Ahh, you are awake, my dear. Please do excuse the restrictions in place; I know who your parents are, well, more specifically, who your father is, and one can’t have too many precautions,” he says as fingers run gently across an almost healed facial laceration.
“What happened to Atara?! You better not have hurt her,” she seethes the words as her heart pounds for the woman she was taken away from.
“No, we left the Greek where she was but even if we did, what are you going to do about it? Are you not even going to ask what you are doing here? What I could possibly want?” he says with a silver tongue as he slithered over to her bedside, sitting down on the bed, taking a moment to scan her from feet to head and back again.
“Oh, he’s not creepy at all…”
“Ryan Gaudet is not your father, my dear. Has your mother not told you of her findings? Hmm? No?” he asks, but it was rhetorical, and Victoria knew that but didn’t care to hear her response.
“What are you even talking about?” she asks, her glasz eyes scanning the man's features and body language. “If he’s not my father, who is?”
Dio lets a slightly sick and twisted grin cross his face as his left hand’s fingers move some of her sandy blonde hair from her face and a cold shiver runs down her spine.
“Ahh, my dear, your father… a complicated man he is, for an experiment gone wrong,” he lets out a small chuckle. “Your mother, Meghan Kelser, well, she was a busy little bee. She buzzed all the way up to your Uncle John to seek his help finding out a truth your grandfather tried to keep buried a couple of decades ago. You see, it turns out that you are of a rare case of heteropaternal superfecundation.”
“Heteropaternal… what?”
“What the hell is that?”
He smiles and takes a second to answer her. He took his index finger that moved her hair out of her face and ran the tip down her jawline to her chin.
“In layman’s terms, two eggs fertilized by two different men. So the other one of you, whatever her name is, her father is Ryan. But Your mother certainly got around, didn't she? What do they call it? Right… the town bicycle; everyone gets a ride,” he says and laughs as Victoria tries to lunge forward but is stopped instantly by the restraints. She sighs and closes her eyes tightly, trying to calm herself down.
“Son of a bitch, talking about mom that way!”
“Feisty little one, aren’t you? I would say like your mother, but I don’t know her that well, but your father, on the other hand… you could say, we go way back.”
“So my father is behind this? Well, he can suck my dick,” she spits, taking a page out of Atara’s book.
“No, no. I said he was a failed experiment, but his offspring, you might just be worth the time. You remind me of him: that same arrogant attitude and lack of respect. You even have Matthew’s eyes, and his poor attitude,” he says, getting up from the bed.
“Matthew? Wait, is my dad…? No, that's impossible...”
Dio sees the gears clicking in her head as she is finally putting it together. He pulls out a fancy pocket knife and cuts one of her hands free from its binding.
“I wouldn’t be a very good host leaving you tied up. Not like you will be able to escape this house or even this room. Now, if you need anything at all, well, just yell for your Uncle Diogenes Knox.”
Dio walks away from her bed as tears form in her eyes. She is all alone as she finishes untying herself. She sits up on the edge of the bed, rubbing her sore wrists from being tied up.
“Knoxxy… is my dad? Is this what mom wanted us to get together for?” she asks herself out loud. “This can’t be happening… I need to find a way out of here. Get back to Atara, and get some answers...”
Her face falls into the palms of her hands as she tries to take in everything that has happened.
